VW Passat Variant 2.0 TDI - Error codes: 03375 and 02546

Рекомендуемые сообщения

Summary of Power‑Steering Issue – VW Passat 2012

Initial symptoms – The power steering worked normally, but the horn and steering‑wheel buttons were dead and there was a faint squealing noise when turning the wheel. This pointed to a defective clockspring (spiral ribbon).

Repair attempt – To access the clockspring, the mechanic disconnected the steering‑angle sensor (G85) and the spiral ribbon and moved the car while these parts were unplugged. After that, the steering assist stopped working entirely. Diagnostic scan showed two fault codes:

02546 – Steering limit stop: no/incorrect basic setting – meaning the control unit no longer knows the end‑stop positions.

03375 – Steering motor: mechanical failure – a safety lockout that is set when the car is moved with the steering‑angle sensor disconnected.

Current status – The mechanic has repaired or coded the spiral ribbon so that the horn and buttons now work and there is no “spiral error,” but the power steering is still inactive and both codes remain stored.

Help/fixes/reccommendations??
its very urgent

Хорошо,
что именно нужно сделать в Odis?
Можете подсказать?

Есть Odis Engineering?

VCDS says: 'Steering motor mechanical failure' And I think It's true. Thirst of all You must change Steering Power Unit and next - to do adaptations with VCDS. I did it once with VCDS. VCDS it's enough. Somebody was writing - 'only parametrisation with ODIS online'. It's not true. One guy from Germany was trying to reflash  via ODIS online (I did pay to him) but it didn't work. Then I changed Steering and did myself with VCDS. (I did have same error in 44)

To '11den11': Thank You for a beer, but It's not real, so '+' much better   :)

Before unpluging spiral and sensor steering was working fine, then they moved car, somehow this “electrician” fixed spiral error, but then this appeared.

also if I forgot to mention, when spiral was “not working” and they unplugged sensor and moved car, car was unable to unlock with main key, with reserve key it is possible, while locking was working.

You asking for help, but don't trust. As I understood G85 is working fine, but DTC about mechanical failure and incorect basic settings still exists. Someone somehow somewhere moved a car/ unplaged sensor... You don't know real story of car and relying what someone say to You... And I say - it's better rely to VCDS. I did have exacly same errors in 44 block (in Audi A4, 2013y). Someone was flashing 44 before me a couple times, I also was flashing with VCP, one guy from Mhauto (from Germany) said only ODIS online parametrisation will help... Didn't work. Finally did help a Steering Power Unit replacement with whole mechanical part and VCDS

One more advice: the steering wheel symbol in the Dash must be yellow (incorect settings, parametrisation etc). Only in this condition You can expect success and proceed to do something with VCDS or ODIS

Software incompatibility. The power steering J500 need to be flashed through ODIS Online.

Before disconnecting a steering angle sensor software was compatible. How did it come incompatible? (flat battery?) I don't think so. For flashing You don't need ODIS, VCP is enough
