Of course, I'm not a marco, therefore I'm not being penalized. However, I have the feeling that OSRS Gold there is too much anxiety surrounding this marcoing issue and Jagex is moving the train to quickly to be effective. Jagex's site has an Anti Marcoing ad everywhere. There's also a blog on reporting Bots.

This has led to people believe that all people that don't respond to their stupid questions, which I might add can be easily answered by looking up on the page for high scores and determining that they're all bots. And I understand that macroing is in all ways going to cause problems however, why put all this effort into one problem? There are thousands of other issues that require a solution too. For example fraud, scams and offensive players are just a few of the many problems that require a solution. Jagex has caused a lot of fear.

In truth, this sounds similar to the entire terrorism fear created in governments and the media. While it may be happening, it does not occur every day. There are more pressing and even worse problems. Carl Schmitt's Neo-Con theory says that you need to be able to project an image of an enemy to be able to build an entire society. So do you think Jagex trying to make us honest player aginst one another to improve the society or are they trying to help us by making us think that people with their public chat off are opponents of the game? I don't support it but it is too to late.
