Sorry for reviving the old thread. What budget friendly programmer can be used to write car info to the new key?

I need something to rewrite the EEPROM. I have a tool that will reconstruct the EEPROM from DFLASH. So will R270 write to FRM3, or should I get an xprog? Also, will xprog v5.55 work? Or should I get a newer version?

I already have an R270. lemantovi4 said it can program FRM2, but what about FRM3? Is the R270 able to program it, or should I get another programmer?

Thanks! I'm on a budget, so what is the cheapest programmer that can repair all FRM modules?

I have a dump from a known good 2K79X CAS2 that hasn't been modified. Message me if you want it. I can also send you the software I used to edit my CAS 2 in order to replace it with CAS 3 and flash ELV OFF.

I have the same error and just left it stay. But if you dump the eeprom and put it into a CAS editor, it should calculate correct checksum.
